Apply a smooth even layer covering the entire surface. I got online to see how others tackled this problem. Step six the two surfaces are then pressed and rolled together. Pull the dowel rods forward and out and press the laminate down.

Rough up the surface with sandpaper and then use a soft paintbrush or a vacuum cleaner to completely remove any dust and debris from the existing countertop and from the back of the laminate sheet you re going to install. We don t typically recommend laminating over laminate but you can do it if you re willing to put some elbow grease into it. You need to sand the old surface down to the brown core in order to make sure the adhesive sticks and stays stuck. The only ones i found used a straight edge and a razor blade.
