Garage floor epoxy flooring is a tough long lasting coating that you paint onto the concrete. After each section is rolled sprinkle the color chips onto the wet paint if desired. Application of garage floor epoxy can vary a little from product to product so be sure to check the instructions on the product you choose. Applying an epoxy coating to a concrete floor is as easy as painting walls but as with painting the success is in the prep work.

Let the primer dry for 24 hours before adding your first coat of epoxy. Careful prep and an organized approach are the keys to success. Once the floor is dry start applying a coat of epoxy primer. After another 24 hours of drying time inspect the floor for any cracks and add crack filler if you need to. Once the calculations color choices and cleaning are taken care of the actual application will seem like the easiest part. An epoxy garage floor resists grease oil and many other substances that would ruin ordinary paint. Coat the edges of the garage floor and any adjacent curb surfaces with epoxy using a nylon bristle paintbrush just as you would cut in along the edge of a wall when painting.

A good epoxy floor coating when cured is just about stain proof and cleaning it is similar to cleaning your teflon pan.
